The Sigma E35 Tapered Blending brush has been my favourite eyeshadow brush since I got it for the first time about 7 years ago (I got the whole set) – an attempt to avoid splurging on MAC brushes, Sigma seemed like the reasonable way to go. IE35 Tapered Blending brush every single day to blend the eyeshadow in my crease. It was the softest brush I owned, and it was a pleasure to use with it’s soft bristles. Fast forward to 2015, ObsessedCanada.com started carrying Sigma brushes and offered to send me one. Of course I chose the E35 because it was so great! When the brush arrived and I started using it, I quickly realized how much softness the original E35 lost in all this time. The contrast in feel was staggering! The original E35 lost some of it’s shape too, whereas the new brush was more tapered, and times softer! The thing of it is that I didn’t know the first brush was harsh until I tried the new one.. And now I just can’t go back to the old one. The phrase “everything is relative” comes to mind in this instance.
If you’re starting out on your search for good makeup brushes that will last over 5 years, then definitely try any of the Sigma brushes. Their price point is incredibly reasonable, especially compared to MAC brushes, and the quality is great! However, it’s very true that MAC brushes really last – I know some people who have had theirs for over 15 years. I got my very first MAC angled liner brush back in 2005 and I still use it everyday. After realizing I need a brush update, I ordered a few more Sigma brushes.
Note: There’s no minimum order to get free shipping on the E25 brush on ObsessedCanada.com!
